ON SITE IN JOHANNESBURG:
THE BOELL FORUM
In 2000, the Heinrich Boell Foundation decided to make the
upcoming 10th anniversary of the historical Earth Summit in Rio
the centrepiece of its international work. Since then, it
has contributed to the preparatory process towards the World Summit
on Sustainable Development with a broad
variety of projects and activities. These contributions
and those of its partners all over the world now converge at the
Boell Forum, which is part of the Global
Peoples Forum, like the Heinrich Boell Foundation is part of
the world-wide civil society. We intend to provide a space for some
of the most exciting debates and dialogues of this World Summit.

The Boell Forum is part of the Global
Peoples Forum, the Civil Society Summit parallel to the UN Summit.
The Peoples Global Forum takes place in the NASREC Expo Centre of
Johannesburg. The Bateleurs Convention Centre of the NASREC,
is the Boell Forum.
