The book presents the experiences of the Sustainable Brazil, Sustainable
Chile, and Sustainable Uruguay Programs since 1998 and the beginnings
of the Sustainable Argentine Program, recently created in 2001.
The book documents the efforts and actions of NGOs and social movements
to generate proposals for Sustainable Development of their Country, departing
from the peoples priorities and based on social equity, environmental
sustainability and democratic governance.
The text also details the conceptual and methodological contributions
of the Programs and the proposals for sustainable development in each
country and at the South Cone level. The text is supported by images of
the publications and of the developments in the different countries and
the region.
