SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN THE BALKANS
Conference proceedings of a European Civil Society conference in Struga,
Macedonia, May 2000, focussing on sustainable development in the Balkans;
organised by Friends of the Earth Europe, with support from the Heinrich
Boell Foundation.
The conference brought together over 100 experts in sustainable development
and representatives of civil society from the Balkan region with their
counterparts from Europe's environmental movement to discuss the state
of the Balkan environment, to visualise what a sustainable Balkan region
might look like, and to look for concrete steps that might be taken to
realise this vision.
